Key Florida Test Information

Identification requirements
Applicants must present acceptable documents establishing your identity/birthdate, residency, and provide your Social Security Number (SSN), if eligible. Documents must be original or certified copies. Applicants must not provide photocopies or self-laminated documents.
Age Requirements
Licensed drivers aged 16 years old may drive from 6 am to 11 pm unless driving to or from work OR accompanied by a licensed driver who is 21+.
Licensed drivers aged 17 years old may drive from 5 am to 1 am unless driving to or from work OR accompanied by a licensed driver who is 21+.
Knowledge Test
The test contains questions on traffic laws, road signs and rules of safe driving. All questions are based on the materials found in a driver’s handbook.
Florida‘s knowledge test consists of 50 questions, of which 40 must be answered correctly to achieve a passing grade.
Vision Requirements
Any applicants requiring corrective lenses must wear them whilst taking the test. If the applicant fails the vision examination and it is determined that lenses are needed then the applicant will be required to wear them whilst driving.
