for your written and practical driving tests.

Applicants must present acceptable documents establishing your identity/birthdate, residency, and provide your Social Security Number (SSN), if eligible. Documents must be original or certified copies. Applicants must not provide photocopies or self-laminated documents.
Age Requirements
Young-driver licensing rules in Oklahoma under its Graduated Driver Licensing (GDL) program:
- Learner Permit: Teens can apply from age 15 if enrolled on an approved driver education course; otherwise at age 16.
- Intermediate License: Available after holding the permit for at least 6 months, completing required supervised-driving practice (including 50 hours total, 10 at night) and passing the road test; typically around age 16. Driving unsupervised is limited to 5 a.m.–10 p.m. unless for school/work/church or with a licensed adult.
- Unrestricted License: After holding the intermediate license for at least 6 months without traffic violations, the new driver may obtain full driving privileges (usually at age 16½ with driver-ed, or older without).
Knowledge Test
The test contains questions on traffic laws, road signs and rules of safe driving. All questions are based on the materials found in a driver’s handbook.
Oklahoma‘s knowledge test consists of 50 questions of which 40 must be answered correctly to receive a passing grade.
Vision Requirements
Any applicants requiring corrective lenses must wear them whilst taking the test. If the applicant fails the vision examination and it is determined that lenses are needed then the applicant will be required to wear them whilst driving.
